PAINT-A-THON

Padiki is a prolific Artist, Author, an Architect and Multiple Award winner who launched her maiden edition book called REFLEXIONS (poetry and portrait) in the middle of last year, June 2023.

She is known in real life as Sharon Yaa Dede Padi. As a multi tasked and talented woman, she has decided to take up a challenge to attempt to break Guinness World record of the Longest Painting Marathon in the month of March in which Ghana gained it’s independence, a very significant month in the History of Ghana on the 15th – 21st at Ghana Village opposite the Legon Stadium.

Looking at Guinness World record, the first attempt was a Nigerian Art student Lola Mewu for 82 hours, it was later taken on by another Nigerian Art student but abroad based Chancellor Ahaghotu for 100 epic hours.
It’s about time Ghana proves to the World that we also have renowned professional Artists and we love art too.

Let’s look forward to our own very Artist, Sharon Dede Padi known in the art space as PADIKI, as she takes up the challenge to embark on her journey of Paint-a-thon to project Ghanaian culture and heritage which I think the Ministry of Tourism Art and Culture, Ghana Tourism Authority, National Commission on Culture, Ghana Tourism Development Commission and other stakeholders should support her and to rally behind her as she sells Ghana to the world through her Art pieces.
