WORLD ART DAY
April 15
Celebrate Art Across the Globe
World Art Day is a global festival that unites people through the universal language of art. Observed on April 15, the birthday of the legendary Leonardo da Vinci, the day is dedicated to raising awareness, fostering appreciation, and expanding education about the arts worldwide.
Established by the International Association of Art (IAA/AIAP), an official partner of UNESCO, World Art Day promotes global collaboration and the cultural significance of the fine arts.
Ghana Joins the Global Celebration
As the Pan African Art Ambassador, I am pleased to announce that the Visual Art Students Empowerment Project (VASEP) Club will be joining the celebration of World Art Day in Ghana.
Today, the VASEP Club will embark on an inspiring excursion to the Padiki Art Gallery, where they will meet and engage with Yaa Padiki, a celebrated Ghanaian female visual artist. This visit is designed to give students firsthand insight into her creative practice, artistic journey, and the powerful role of women in the visual arts.
This initiative is part of our ongoing mission to empower young visual artists and ignite their passion by connecting them to real-life success stories and professional mentorship in the arts.
Call to All Young Artists in Ghana
We invite all young artists across Ghana to join in the global celebration of World Art Day. Whether through school activities, local exhibitions, or creative gatherings, your participation adds to the global chorus celebrating the power of art to inspire, educate, and unite.
Art knows no boundaries—let your creativity speak to the world.
The only thing that I am a slave to is my passion.
